CAMPUS NEWS IN CAPSULES *******March , 2025 

CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 

As CBSE Exam was scheduled on March 8th, the school celebrated International Women's Day on March 12,2025 at its auditorium, Rangmanch, wherein the Guest of Honour & the keynote speaker, Ms.Shyamasri Saikia,ACS, Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate, Chirang reinstated on empowering women & the need to be self-reliant. The Principal,Dr.R.K.Mishra spoke about the role of women in building a healthy society. There were also song rendition by Mr. D. Das(Music Teacher) along with poetry recitals by Mr. P.C Medhi (PGT Maths) , Mr. S. Pandey(PRT Hindi) and Ms. S. Begam (PRT Eng) . All in all, the programme was a resounding success.

SERVICE BEFORE SELF

In an initiative to offer benevolent service to mankind, the school distributed school kits to 120 students of Chirang & Bongaigaon districts in association with philanthropic organisations, East Story & Robin Hood Army in Bongaigaon. The school raised funds through a Food Festival- Flavours of Charity , hosted by the students . The amount collected was used in purchasing school kits for the underprivileged children of the locality, facilitating 20 children of Nichima Orphanage Home Society,Koilamoila, 60 more of Birjhora Tea Estate & 40 children of B G. Colony & Samsaan Para. The school believes that true learning takes place by doing & going beyond the books. Such initiatives teach the children life lessons of being together in uplifting the needy & underprivileged.

TRAININGS & WORKSHOPS

Mr. Tarak Bhattacharjee(PGT Accountancy) was nominated to attend the programme of Training of Trainers(ToT) organised by CBSE, COE, Guwahati in collaboration with Institute of Secretariat Training & Management, Department of Personnel & Training ,Government Of India. It was held at Don Bosco School,Kokrajhar on 7th & 8th March,2025.

Our teachers,Mr.U.N.Ghosh (PGT,Chemistry), Ms. D.D Nandy (TGT Science) ,Dr.D.Mishra(TGT Sanskrit), Ms.U.M.Kalita (PRT Social Science) & Mr.B Barman(PRT,Hindi) on ACTIVE LEARNING on March 13,2025 at Montfort School, Abhayapuri  organised by CBSE,CoE ,Guwahati.

END OF ACADEMIC SESSION :: MEET & GREET FOR THE NEW SESSION

The school has successfully & smoothly conducted the Board Examinations (CBSE),2025 of classes-X & XII . All the Home examinations are over and report cards have been distributed to students. There will be an individual interactive meeting with parents at all levels on April 01,2025 & classes will commence in full swing w.e.f April 02,2025(Wednesday)

SESSION WITH PARENTS OF CLASS-X

The school arranged for an interactive session with parents of students of class-X informing them about admission to class-XI with availability of three streams at school, viz., Science, Commerce & Humanities. The Principal, Dr.R.K.Mishra advised the parents to support their wards in selecting the streams as per their choice & aptitude. Parents were also informed about the availability of all relevant information in this regard on the official website.

EXCELLENCE AT TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION

In the Talent Search Examnation,2024 , conducted by the State Academic Council, Assam, Mst.Hitakrit Das(VIII) achieved 1st rank in District level with 82 marks. Kudos to Hitakrit for such a stellar performance !
