Qualifying the Inter-DPS online Quiz called PLANET PULSE held on Aug. 05,2026, two of our students, viz. Mst, Shaswat Dhar Dwivedi (XII) & Mst Abhyuday Sharma(X) opened the gateways to participation in Haritima, the Inter-DPS onsite competitions to be hosted by DPS Greater Faridabad. Congratulations to the winners & best wishes to the participants of onsite events .
Two of our students, Cub- Dipjyoti K Mazumdar (III) & Bulbul- Nimisha Das (IV) got eligible for receiving awards -Chaturtha Charan & Heerak Pankh by clearing Certificate Testing Camp 2026 held from July 28 to 30,2026. Cub & Bulbul is a junior wing of Bharat Scouts & Guides and the awards they will receive , are of States’ highest level.

As a part of 80th Independence Programme, a Cycle Rally was organized by school in which a good number of students and teachers joined . Students carried small flags upholding the spirit of patriotism.
Miss Sonakshi B Ghosh(X) won the Best Dancer Award at Sanskriti Sangam 2026 held at Jyoti Chitraban Guwahati. Adding to her remarkable achievement, Sonakshi has also been selected for the 4th International Mumbai Carnival and the Mega Round of the Reality Show- Next Star of Assam.
Mst. Abhudyay Sharma(X) participated in the prestigious Ganit Challenge conducted under the CBSE Guwahati region and has made a mark by being among the top 100 participants in the region. He has received a merit certificate issued by the CBSE in recognition of his achievement. Many congratulations, Abhyuday !
The 2nd PTA Meeting was held on 26 Aug at Rangmanch Auditorium. Some pertinent issues were discussed in the said meeting in regard to academics.
With the Half Yearly Examination approaching, an interactive session with the parents of the students of class –X was conducted on Aug. 27 ,2026 in regard to the academic progress of the students .
Students from classes-VI – X participated in the Bharat Ko Jano All India Written Quiz held in the respective classrooms on Aug. 31,2026 . It was organized by Bharat Vikash Parishad, New Delhi and initiated by Bharat Vikash Parishad, Bongaigaon.
On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan , students enjoyed tying Rakhis at school with a lot of enthusiasm. A group of students visited the CISF Camp to participate in a special ceremony with the CISF personnel. They received a warm reception along with gifts at the camp.
The school celebrated National Sports Day on 29 Aug. 2026 with zeal and fervor. Various games and sports were organized in which a good number of students participated ,making the day meaningful.
In the CBSE Cluster-I Volleyball Tournament 2026 ,hosted by Kaziranga English Academy, Guwahati from Aug. 4- 6 , our Boys’ team secured 3rd position winning Bronze medal while the Girls’ team emerged 2nd , winning Silver medal. Congratulations to all the players !

An Open Forum Discussion on ‘Education and the Future Scenario of India’ was organized for classes XI & XII on Aug 14 2026 at the Rangmanch Auditorium. Students actively participated in the inter-sectional event and expressed their views, exchanged ideas and discussed about the changing landscape of education and India’s future. Overall, the programme proved to be a meaningful learning experience for all.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag followed by singing of the National Song and the National Anthem. A total of five troops consisting of Boys, Girls, NCC, Scouts & Guides showcased a graceful and smooth Samiksha Kadam. Dr. R.K.Mishra, the Principal addressed the august gathering with his words of insight followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Prizes were awarded to 90% laureates in AISSE & AISSCE 2026. A total of 54 students , falling in this category received certificates and mementos from the Principal . Prizes were also given away to achievers in SPORTS(CBSE conducted) like Athletics, Volleyball, Football. Accompanying teachers cum mentors viz. Mr. Bhaskar Basumatary, Mr. Gouranga Sarkar, Ms. Surabhi Bordoloi, Mr. Judhisthir Das & Ms. Priyanka Das were also awarded with mementos.
On 20 Aug. 2026 students with individual feats were awarded with mementos for their remarkable laurels in various categories like Swimming, Athletics, Chess, Cub & Bulbul, Dance, Ganit Challenge & Quiz. Sonakshi B Ghosh(X), Miss Hitakshi Paul (VII), Mst.Adrish Paramanik (IV) ,Miss Eliana Basumatary(XII) Ragavorshini Das (II), Mst. Abhyuday Sharma (X) & Mst. Shaswat Dhar Dwivedi (XII). The Principal congratulated all the prize recipients and encouraged others to explore their talents and come out with their best selves. The parents of the achievers were elated at the feats of their wards and treasured the moment with memories.
The school hosted a Capacity Building Programme initiated by the CoE Guwahati Region on the topic- Theory of Knowledge on Aug 29 2026. It was led by the resource person, Dr. Anuradha Das Ghose. All the teachers attended the said programme.

30 students of classes-XI & XII took part in the training programme on Robotics organized by IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery, conducted by the Deptt. of Robotics , CIT, Kokrajhar from July 18- Aug. 16 ,2026 which was followed by an exhibition on Aug. 16 ,2026. It was an insightful learning experience for the students
Following the training on Robotics and a lot of explorations , two of our students from Humanities stream ,viz., Miss. Dorothy Kalita (XI) & Miss Deepa Kumari (XI ) built an AI generated friendly & interactive Robot named CEMO under the guidance of Mr.Peter Basumatary ,Head of Robotics, CIT , Kokrajhar and the supervision of their teacher of Informatics Practices, Mr. Debashish Debnath. Well done, young explorers !
The school’s counseling initiative continues to foster stronger connections between parents and children through a series of online interactive parent counseling sessions. The sessions cover age appropriate topics, focusing on children’s emotional well being, behavior & overall development. The initiatives aim at encouraging a supporting home environment where children feel understood, valued and safe to grow and thrive. So far, the school counselor , Ms. Jaisika Narzary has interacted online with parents of students of classes-VI to XII. The initiative in going on as it aims to cover all the classes at all levels.
On Aug 12, 2026 , the school observed the Librarian’s Day with DROP EVEYTHING AND READ—reading hour for the whole school. The programme commenced with felicitation of the Lbrarian, Mr.Diganta Baruah by the Principal with a memento in presence of the students of class-VII. It was followed by a short conversation on the topic ‘Impact of Library in our Everyday lives’ by two students of class-VI. The programme concluded with a deliverance by the Principal on the significance of Librarian’s Day and the importance of reading for students.
