Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad(ABVP) ,Bongaigaon Town Unit organised a Quiz Competition to commemorate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti on Jan.12,2025 wherein our team of students shone with bright hues.

CELEBRATING MAGH BIHU

Honouring the joy & abundance of the harvesting month of Magh, Bihu was celebrated at the morning assembly spreading a jolly vibe all around. Art & Quiz Activities were organized for children on the occasion.

SCINTILLATING BIHU DANCE AT BHOGALI MELA

A group of GIRL students viz. Hrishita Hiya Sarma(XI), Manikarnika Choudhury(XI),Verbi Ray(XI), Anusuya Narzary(XI), Saanvi Dev(IX) & Dhritimoni Das(IX) set the stage on fire on the occasion of Bhogali Mela organized by RCCC on Jan. 09,2025 by a mesmerizing Bihu dance performance.

CAREER COUNSELLING

On Jan.07,2025,the school conducted a Career Assessment cum Counselling programme by MIND India,benefitting an enrolled number of 49 students of classes-IX to XII.

 ADMIRABLE PERFORMANCE AT PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA

On the occasion  of Parakram Diwas, a Quiz Competition was held on Pariksha Pe Charcha on 23^rd of January,2025, organised at Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Bongaigaon wherein two of our students, Mst.Dashanav Kakati(IX) & Mst.Rajbir Choudhury(IX) secured 1^st & 2^nd positions respectively.

LEARNING THROUGH TWINNING

A team of twelve students accompanied by Ms. R.M.Kalita took part in a twinning programme at Satipur M.E.School wherein students of both the schools exchanged their learning experiences , made friendship and it was indeed a good EXCHANGE PROGRAMME.

In the Art , Musical Chair & Bihu dance competitions held at the occasion, Miss Anju Kumar Thakur(VIII) & Miss Pritha Sarkar(VII) & Miss Khreesti Yana  Deka (VIII) secured 2^nd , 1^st & 2^nd positions respectively.

RANGMANCH- THE AUDITORIUM

Shri N.K.Barua, Executive Director & Refinery  Head,IOCL BGR & Pro-Vice Chairman,SMC,DPS Dhaligaon   inaugurated the Auditorium-Rangmanch on Jan.19,2025,i.e, on the foundation of Bongaigaon Refinery .Our immense gratefulness & indebtedness to IOCL BGR authority for such a magnanimous gesture.

ALL ABOUT THE RED LETTER DAY

The 76^th Republic Day was celebrated with gait & fervor at the school . There were 5 contingents showcasing their talents in parade. Special recognition was given to student achievers at the national levels.

The Principal awarded a book & appreciation certificate each to  Mst. Aayan Kashyap (X) & Miss Hrishita Hiya Sarma(XI) for being 2^nd & 3^rd at Eloquence &  Nukkad Natak Ki  respectively at the CBSE National Summit (Dec.19-2025) 

Mst. Madhurjya   Kalita(VIII) was awarded with a tracksuit & certificate for winning gold medal at  CBSE  National Athletic Meet held at Sant Atulanand Convent School, Varanasi (Oct.06-10,2025) .

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to all the Scouts & Guides entitled for Rajya Puraskar Awards & also the Girls Volleyball team that got 1^st Runners’ Up position at CBSE Volleyball Tournament organised at SBOA Public School(Sept.12-14,2025).

Certificates of Recognition were also presented to the Best Turn Out(individual) from each Contingent & also the Overall Best Marching Contingent. The recipients were Mst.Aditya Bhari(XI)-Boys Platoon, Miss Manikarnika Choudhury(XI)-Girls Platoon, Mst.Jyotirmoy Kalita(VIII)-Scouts Platoon, Miss Praptishikha P. Parashar (VIII)-Guides Platooon & Miss Tuhina Ramchiary(VIII)-NCC Platoon.

The certificate for Best Marching Contingent went to Boys Platoon at school. The certificate for Best Marching Contingent was bagged by Girls Platoon at BGR  Sports Complex.

The Principal, Dr.R.K.Mishra also presented teachers like Ms.U.M.Kalita, Ms.R.M.Kalita ,Ms.S.Bordoloi, Mr. D.Mazumdar,Mr. J.das , Mr.B. Barman & Mr. S.Basumatary with Appreciation letters 7 Mementos for their valuable mentorship to winning teams/group.

The programme ended with a dance performance presenting the ethnic diversity in unity through different folk dances of the Nation.

NCC UNIT AT SCHOOL

It’s a matter of pride & pleasure to introduce a unit of NCC at the school this January,2025. As of now, the unit has a strength of 30 cadets.

PRE-BOARD EXAMS

The second Pre-Board Examinations of X & XII were conducted smoothly & answer scripts were shown to students as well as parents on the evening of Jan.30, 2025.

ECO CLUB AT SCHOOL

Some green enthusiasts of class-IX, under the mentorship of Ms.Neetu Prasad & Mr.Dipankar Mazumdar took steps to build a Society that concerns & cares for Environment. It’s our baby steps now but our efforts will surely make a big difference.
