On the auspicious occasion of 164th birth anniversary of Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore, students of class-X paid a tribute to the Nobel laureate on May 09,2025 with presentation of vibrant prayer, recitation and dance.
MAY DAY
As a mark of May Day, students of class-X put a worthy show in the morning assembly. They presented a skit highlighting the importance of workers in our day-to-day life.
MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION
Honouring the bond of mothers with their kids, the Bal Vatika Classes of the school celebrated Pre-Mother’s Day on May 10,2025. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by the mothers ,children and teachers with many fun filled activities. The Principal, Dr. R.K.Mishra appreciated the mothers for their love, care, affection & sacrifices in bringing up their children . Mothers also expressed gratitude to the school for such thoughtful gestures.
CULTURAL PROGRAMME AT CHAMPA CLUB
IOCL Bongaigaon Refinery arranged a programme in honour of the gracious visit of Shri L.W.Khongwir, Former Executive Director & Refinery Head ,IOCL on May 21 ,2025 at Champa Club wherein a group of students from our school participated in a patriotic group dance. It was appreciated by all concerned.
TRAINING CAMP OF NATIONAL CADET CORPS
A Combined Annual Training Camp(CATC) by 7 Assam BN Dhubri was held at JNV Bongaigaon wherein 14 cadets of our school joined from May 15 to 25,2025 . The camp provided a comprehensive training programme designed to enhance the physical and mental capabilities of the cadets. The programme included physical fitness drills, weapon handling, map reading, leadership exercises and emergency response training along with cultural & games activities.
The 2nd phase of the CATC started from May 28 and will be over on June 06,2025 at JNV Kokrajhar wherein 8 students of the school have taken part.
The Care Taker Officer(CTO) of the trainees has been Mr. Judhisthir Das, Sports teacher.
ECHOES OF PURITY BY THE BRAHMAKUMARIS
On May 23 & 28 ,2025, our school invited Rajyogini Suman Didi from the Brahmakumari Chapter, Bongaigaon to conduct a session with classes VI to XII . She motivated the students to use their energy in a positive manner . She also inspired the students to believe in positive thinking to lead a peaceful and purposeful life. The sessions left a lasting impression on the tender minds to practice mindfulness in daily life.
INTEGRATED COACHING FOR SENIOR STUDENTS
In an initiative to provide a strong support to aspiring students of JEE, NEET & CUET, the Principal, Dr.R.K.Mishra had an interactive session with parents of students of classes-IX-XII on the possibility of introducing integrated coaching for students of classes-IX-XII on May 22,2025 at the school premises.

WINNING THE FRIENDLY WAY
Gurukul National School, Basugaon organised a friendly football match on May 31,2025 in which our school team emerged as winners by 5-4 goals against the host school. The match ended with a nail biting excitement. Such friendly matches are like exchange programmes that help to strengthen the bonding among schools.
PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION: 2025-26 FORMED
The first PTA meeting of the session was held on May 09,2025 at the school library. As many as 40 members ,including teachers were present in the said meeting. The team looks forward to working with coordination for the betterment of the school.
